Re: PLAYLIST
Sympathy - Anagogic Tyranny
My FIRST impression was not as favorable as I thought it would be, but the more I listen to this, the better I like it. the drum machines programming on the previous work is more frantic, and it was always one of the keys to the sound to me. Jim austin doesn't play that way on this disc. there's still lots of speed prevalent, but the "feel" is TOTALLY different, and that REALLY threw me on the first listen. the addition of Jeff Lewis as a guitarist, though, pays off in leaps and bounds. The MASSIVE Suffocation influence is still there, but the leads and fills on this disc also impart a different feel to it. It's a more organic, less "one dimensional" disc than the others.......well worth it.
