Are you going to watch the debate tomorrow night?
The town hall debate with moderator Tom Brokaw is tomorrow. Anyone going to watch? I'm going to attempt to watch it, but I might get bored and change the channel. We'll see. I hope it's a little better than the last one.

I find the debates to be mostly talking points anymore. You want to know what a candidate will do check out what they have done. It won't be 100% but it will give a good idea.

I'll listen to it at work. I agree with Black Rider though, the candidates don't really even have to answer the questions anymore. If McCain is able to get to Obama though and get him off his memorized answers, the debate should be quite interesting as Obama will probably start stammering somewhat.

I watched it. Liked it better than the last one. I must say, I don't like either choice much at all.

Re: Are you going to watch the debate tomorrow night?
Debates are simply where the candidates try to either A) say pretty things, B) make the other guy look bad, or C), hopefully, do both at the same time......they don't really offer anything substantive any more.
a debate performance WILL NOT in a candidate the election....but it very well CAN cause a candidate to LOSE....McCain's hardball tactics in the last one may very well have torpedoed his campaign. They didn't play well at all with a lot of the general public, it cam accross as "the old cranky guy being a crotchety jackass to the cool guy", or "why is the old man picking on Barak like that?"......that's the reality of what debates are these days. a media op, and nothing more....

I watched it, not the bloodbath I hoped it would be. Right now, my leanings are cleanly towards Black-Eagle Obama (look it up), but in a perfect world I would be voting Ron Paul and he'd have a chance of winning.
