"Scene" bands
So I went through a stage in my musical journey that took me through "the scene". LOL! I still listen to a lot of "scene" bands. Some of the bands I really like are:
Emery
Further Seems Forever
Relient K
Fall Out Boy
Mae
Haste The Day
Norma Jean
Nodes Of Ranvier
Dead Poetic
AFI
Deftones
Blink 182
To name a few. Anyone else into "the scene"??

Re: "Scene" bands
Went through that musical phase....
Pretty much left it behind.
I was never very "scene" (tried to be) and there's very little left I would consider "scene".

Re: "Scene" bands
I tried to be straightedge for a while... Then I realized that you have to be tough and fight people when you're edge lol. I quite enjoy a lot of bands from the popular scene. Sometimes I like to take a break *gasp* from metal and mix it up a little.

Re: "Scene" bands
LOL! Thanks a lot there. I just go by what I like. Four or five years ago, I would have been in disbelief if I knew what I would end up listening to. Back then I was METAL OR DEATH! Now I just listen to whatever sounds good to my ears, but still mostly just metal.

Re: "Scene" bands
Yeah. I think I kinda fit into an odd category cuz I love metal, but I listen to a lot of "scene" or "alternative" bands that not many metal heads listen to. Oh well. Lol.

New Wave
Rockabilly
Leather wearing rockers....soon to be, maybe, Metalheads..
Mullett wearing rockers
Short-Haired Punks
Long-Haired Punks
ETC.
ETC.
ETC.

"Scene" bands? Let's see....I think that limits me to STill Remains, as far as what is in my collection...Unless the Red Chord and Between the Buried and Me fall into that end of stuff....

Re: "Scene" bands
This thread makes me teh saaadddd.
John Arch says.. "I remembered you, will you remember me?"
yes.. yess....
BTBAM is not bad.... they are not quite the metalcore-band-jumping-on-the-shred-bandwagon thing like a lot of others are... but once in a while it does become apparent that they tried just a little too hard to be technical.

Yeah, yeah I do....I didn't quite feel they fell into the mascara and bad haircuts scene crowd, though.....maybe I'm worng, there.
I also have every KsE disc that exists (though I was into them WELL before they "blew up")....

Re: "Scene" bands
I can only handle DH and KSE of the bands mentioned. I went to the DH, BTA, Zao and August Burns Red show and wanted to beat up a couple scene kids. One dude was doing this ridiculous kung fu like dancing and I "accidentally" tripped him.
